Rosanna Casano (Marsala, Italy, 1968) has lived and worked in Barcelona since 1989. Through her work, Rosanna Casano investigates the form she builds, architecture and abstract geometries. At the same time, she investigates the possibilities of matter and participates in the battles that take place between abstraction and figuration. The reading of her language opens up multiple interpretations, being the abstract and concrete representation of her at the same time. Her gaze insists on pondering the relationships, whether they are formal or not, endowing the image with a metaphysical value. Balance translates into synthesis and form into expression. The experience of architecture in continuous debate with the form is related to the subject, which is condtioned by it in almost all areas, being the place of residence par excellence. For this reason emptiness and distance appear. Within the canvas there is a space-time, the intention of the artist is to delve into the matter until she finds herself or something that she recognizes as her own. The theme of the speech uses geometric elements to create contexts of experiences, states of being. This third dimension that the work contains returns the image to an ambiguity that makes the meaning multiple and suggests that the right side and the upside down coexist simultaneously.
