Toni Garau is a graphic and industrial designer, but also a well-known artist who, sensitized to the history of his town’s textile industry and the revolution it entailed. With his art he wants to pay tribute to an entire generation of workers (women and men) who, with his effort and dedication, made the town of Sóller a prosperous city full of hope.
Garau’s works tell us a story; they spin it. They take the part by the whole and from the threads, they take us into the collective memory and history of a town in the Serra de Tramuntana of Mallorca. Garau’s work gives life to a material that was dead.
